How to Troubleshoot a Screw Feeder – Quick Guide

A screw feeder is the heart of any automatic screw-driving system. It screens, orients, and delivers screws to the driver. A reliable feeder means high throughput; a faulty one stops the line. Danikor lists the most common faults and their fixes.

Feeder powers on but does not run

? Check the power cord first.
? If the cord is secure and the indicator light is on:
– Too many screws in the hopper: screws have risen above the rail, blocking the brush and rail. Remove excess screws to free the rail.
– Low screw count but still no motion: the infrared sensor is faulty or blocked by debris. Clean the sensor or replace it; otherwise the control board “thinks” screws are present and keeps the turntable idle.

Screws will not slide out of the rail

? Rail gap too narrow for screw size → loosen side plates and widen gap until screws slide smoothly.
? Gate opening too small → adjust gate height/width so screws pass freely, but not so large that additional screws flood the gate and jam.
? Vibration motor stalled → no vibration means no movement; replace the motor.

Follow these steps and you can restore normal feeding in minutes.
